The Prattville High School speech and debate program has earned significant recognition by the National Forensic League. Because our chapter received 100 degrees or more last year, it has been placed in the top 10% of NFL chapters nationwide and earned membership in the NFL's prestigious 100 Club.

St. James Tournament October 7-8
Fees for the St. James tourney are due on or before Friday, September 30.
Also, the last day to drop an entry is Friday, September 30. Any student dropping an entry after that date will be charged a $50.00 drop fee per event by the tournament administrators. It is considered a nuisance fee.

Vestavia Novice Tournament 2011 - Sept. 17
The team will meet Saturday morning, September 17 at Chick-Fil-A in Prattville. We will leave promptly from there at 6:45am. We should return around 7pm; however, if the tournament runs long, we could be later. All permission slips must be turned in prior to leaving for the tournament.
Prattville Student Named the AFEA Student of the Year
Congratulations to Rebecca Carroll who was named the AFEA Student of the Year. The award was based on Rebecca's performance in four events at the state championship. The four events were Congress (state champion), Junior Varsity Public Forum (runner up), Impromptu (top six) and Duo Interpretation (top six).
Rebecca will be attending the University of Alabama in fall of 2011 on an academic scholarship.
